Trying new pens

A friend convinced me to enter a challenge from Pen Store. I bought the competition kit with 8 unknown pens and should create something with all 8 pens and just these pens.

Some of them are new to me so I decide to try them out and get some ideas of how I should use them and what motive I want to draw. Still not sure of what the competition motive should be… Color pencils I is something I don’t know what I think about, nothing that excited me to use but not bad. The Pilot Pointer is just odd, clumsy, thick layers when drawing, but find it easier to use then expected and it should be able to use on many surfaces. The aquarelle pen was cool, didn’t know that there was something like that. Have only used ordinary aquarelle colors and brushes before, which I enjoyed then, about 15-20 years ago. The promarker was a non-brush versions, I only have brush, so it was interesting to try this. I think it is little bit easier to get more even, non-striped coloring with the brush but maybe non-brush is better for dials, easier to control the tip. The other pens was more or less as expected.

To get a perspective in the picture, especially the water was not easy whit only those colors. I like the mountains and the sky but the rest… Well, this is not my entry. Have some week more to go.
